Windows 8 Developer Pack Preview - The Very First Look

Windows 8 is the code name of next operating system of Microsoft Windows. The operating system has support for ARM microprocessors along with traditional x86 microprocessors from Intel and AMD. Windows 8 user interface (UI) has been changed to make it better suitable for touchscreen devices/input in addition to the traditional mouse and keyboard input.

Currently, Windows Developer Preview is available for download for everyone, although this release is for developers, but you can definitely give this new operating system a try (Make sure you read the Important Note at the end of this post)! Let’s check out in this post, the Direct Links for downloading ISO Files for Windows 8 Developer Preview with all Developer Tools and Metro Style Applications. However, the preview version does not allow the users to terminate a task. It can be done only using the Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del).

• 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
• 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
• 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
• DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

* In order to Take advantage of touch input feature present in Windows 8 Developer Preview, you need a screen that supports multi-touch input
