6 tips for your Google+

Google has finally found a way out by rolling to their dedicated Google community with a highly competent social networking site to the current biggies like ‘Facebook and Twitter’. This community that they intend to develop has been named Google+.


Some of the tips for using Google+ will include:
1. Rotate your profile pictures:
Click on the profile pictures to rotate them, this makes life much easier and this is an option that is not available in none of the other social networking sites. Facebook being the most popular photo-sharing site has this option of rotating the photos only when you open the individual photos in the photo album, but not in profile photo space itself. This is an added advantage, and is a very interesting and useful feature in Google+.
2. Format your text:
Follow these simple tricks while formatting your text in Google + status update column, which is not available in other social networking websites. Yet another interesting feature! Do the following to format your text!
• (*) bold (*) – add star before and after the message to bold the font.
• (_) italics (_) – add _ (underscore) before and after the message to italicize the font the text.
• (-) strike through (-) – add – (dash) before and after the message to strike through the text.
3. Specify your post to someone:
You can specifically mention someone in your post. This is a common practice and is a “post manners” amongst social networking community. All you need to do is to add a + or @ signal before the beginning of the post to mention specifically someone.
4. Timestamp:
When you are in need of getting a permalink or the web URL of a specific link that has been shared on the Google+ all you need to do is to click on the timestamp tool and there you will have the web URL right in front of you. This is the similar to how you will be getting the web URL in other social networking websites also.
5. Control who sees your post:
The decision of who sees your post is in your hands in Google +. This is possible to share your post with Public or Circle or Circles only, that you can share a post even with a particular individual by typing their name or email address. In Facebook and twitter, you type only names!
6. Edit photos in Google+:
Coming from Google, Google+ is powered with the ability to edit your photos and do more than merely cropping your photos that you are allowed to do in most of your social networking websites. How you go about editing photos in Google+ is by opening the uploaded picture from the photo gallery, and choose the action to edit photos, which opens up many avenues of editing your photos that you can exploit.
